Kijiji was a project we undertook with relative zeal. We had a very loose set of parameters to work within, essentially ''get some to post or respond to an ad and use an emerging medium''. we immediately set to work trying to define how Kijiji's offering differed in any noticeable way from it's competitors. We decided to write down one sentence that we thought defined Kijiji wholly. ''Largest Free Local Classified in Canada''. From that we choose the one word that we thought had the most signifigance and came out with local. Kijiji was local at it's heart, even the term Kijiji means village.
